Fellow workers at Kanandah have banded together to help a workmate get walking frames for her children.

The workmates gathered on Thursday last week to organise a ladies’ pamper night to help parents, Deborah Bryant and Matt Willoughby with their children, Brianna Willoughby and Jamin Willoughby.

Five-year-old Brianna and three-year-old Jamin have a yet undiagnosed muscle disorder and are being cared for by a geneticist in Newcastle and the Department of Aged Disability and Aged Care.

But the babies, in the meantime, need a special walker to help them strengthen their muscles and learn to walk.

The ladies are organising a night to be remembered, May 24, 7pm, a ladies pamper night, with fashion, under cover wear, massage, wine, chocolates, makeup, hairdo, nails, perfume and other girlie treats, including photographs of the finished effect.

The night will include entertainment, raffles, and a raffle of a weekend for two at Beverly House in Mudgee.

Spokesperson for the group of workers, Janet Prince, said the night will cost ladies $12 entry, with stalls selling their own wares to pamper ladies on the night.

Stallholders are paying $20 to take part in the night, many offering the proceeds of the night as well.

“This has never been done before in Mudgee,” Ms Prince said.

“The ladies will receive a glass of wine and nibblies on arrival.

“They will be able to wander along the stalls and choose their own pampering needs.

“And we are looking for anyone interested in having a stall,” Ms Prince said.
