Social games start in Mudgee snooker

Mudgee Snooker Club’s first social handicaps snooker competition for a Sunday, was held on Sunday, August 24 with eight members attending.

Games were played in two groups of four with the top two players from each group advancing into a knockout to decide the final winner.

The four top players were Richard Anderson, Don Riley, Mick Stapleton and Wayne Sanders. Stapleton defeated Riley 35-25, Sanders defeated anderson 40-1 and Stapleton was a 42-26 winner of the final.

Members or guests wishing to play snooker on a Sunday night will need to have names in by 4:50pm and competition starts at 5.00pm sharp. All new players will get their first three games free after joining the Mudgee snooker club.

Upcoming events

On Sunday, September 7 members are invited to Wellington for a day of social competition - any members interested can put their names on the notice board in the club.

In late September or early October an interclub visit with Dubbo coming to Mudgee for a social day is planned and in October a doubles competition will be held in Cowra
